With a culture that promotes professional development and pathways to growth, possibilities abound within the walls of Invest Atlanta.

Dawn Arnold, executive vice president and chief operating officer, joined Invest Atlanta her sophomore year at Spelman College as an intern with the Urban Residential Finance Authority.

“I was raised by a single mother and have overcome many obstacles. I firmly believe that to whom much is given, much is required. As a passionate, self-determined leader who has worked at Invest Atlanta for nearly 30 years, housed more than 30,000 homeless and low-income families, deployed billions of dollars in public and private capital, and volunteered countless hours to support, educate and inspire others, I am walking in God’s truth for my life as a humanitarian and servant leader.

“It’s an indescribable feeling when someone stops you at the grocery store, hugs you and thanks you for not only helping her and her children find housing when they were once homeless but now assisting them in purchasing her first home. It’s ALL that matters.”

Dorothy Williams, chief people officer, joined Invest Atlanta 13 years ago to make a difference in people’s lives.

“I joined Invest Atlanta in a role that I was overqualified for, but worked hard and trusted the process. My responsibilities continued to grow and transform until I eventually became chief people officer. I’m a true Atlanta native and am so proud to be part of a team of brilliant professionals who touch this city in so many positive ways.”
